Dataset: The data are an adapted version of the ICD-10, called the ICD-10-CM. The data are available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

You need Java version 1.6 (or better) and a graphics card that supports p-buffers to run the ICD-10 Explorer!

Controls and Interaction

Basic Interaction

Mouse:
Hover Highlight
Left Click Focus
Left Double Click Expand node
Right Double Click Collapse node
Left Click + [CTRL] Lock/unlock active node
Left Click + [SHIFT] Select node
Right Click + [SHIFT] Deselect node

Classification Hierarchy

Mouse:
Middle drag Apply "fish eye" lens
Wheel rotation Scroll tree view
Wheel rotation + [SHIFT] Zoom tree view
Additional controls:
While using the fish eye lens scrolling is possible by dragging the mouse. The two small buttons in the lower right corner can be used to change the magnification factor of the fish eye lens.

Activate edge travelling by locking the active node via Left click + [CTRL].

Additional controls:
The pan wheel (bottom right) can be used to pan the view. Press and hold the left mouse button on the pan wheel, then dragged to the desired panning direction.
